Q&A | Temporary Locking of Natural Hair

Question

Hi. I'm gonna twist my hair and I want to interlocking it, but I might want to pull it out every 3 months. Will it be possible to do?

Answer

Hi Jihhor pr,

It's definitely possible but the takedown process would be insanely annoying and lengthy... sort of like untangling thread. Depending on your technique and your texture, you could also loose a lot of hair during the takedown process.

If you choose to do this, be sure to deep condition and moisturize your hair regularly to keep the roots loose.

I do not recommend locking as a protective style. There are many other ways to grow out your hair or to get a break from regular styling.
